Click the Hot Fix tab in this note to access the hot fix for this issue.
To work around this issue, add the following Java start-up option to
the SASServer4 start-up script:
-Dodcs.cfl.index.enable=false
Note that if you have configured secondary ODCS servers, you should specify this option
for those servers as well as for SASServer4.
Setting the Java Start-up Option for the Oracle WebLogic Application Server
For the Oracle WebLogic Server for SAS® 9.3, you can set the
Java start-up option by editing a start
script or by using the WebLogic Application Server Administration Console. Use
the same method that you used to set other server options. The steps for each
method are explained below.
Note: If you are not running the WebLogic Server
Node Manager, then you must specify the Java start-up options in a start script.
Set the Java Start-up Option in a Start Script
- Change directories to your WebLogic Server
domain directory that is configured for SAS® 9.3. For a domain that is
configured by the SAS® Deployment Wizard, this directory
is SAS-configuration-directory/Levn/Web/SASDomain/bin.
- Make a backup copy of the setDomainEnv file.
- Open setDomainEnv in an editor. This script has a suffix of either .sh
or .cmd.
- Locate the USER_MEM_ARGS variable for SASServer4.
- Add the Java start-up option mentioned above to the USER_MEM_ARGS variable.
- Save your changes, and close the file.
- Restart the server so that the new settings are used.
Set the Java Start-up Option Using the WebLogic Application Server Administration Console
- In the Domain Structure panel, expand the Servers node.
- Click the name of the server that you want to configure.
- In the right panel, click Server Start.
- Select Lock and Edit.
- In the Arguments text box, add the Java start-up option, and click Save. Then click Activate Changes.
- Restart the server so that the new settings are used.
Setting Java Start-up Option for the IBM WebSphere
Application Server
Use the WebSphere Application Server Administration Console to set
the Java start-up option for WebSphere Application Server 6.1. For more information, see the IBM
WebSphere Application Server documentation.
- In the left panel, expand the Servers node.
- Click Application
Servers.
- Click the name of the server that you want to configure.
- Add the Java start-up option in the Generic JVM Arguments text box.
- Click Apply.
Then click Save to
save the changes to the master configuration.
- Restart the server so that the new settings are used.
